2. Break the legs at the joints and unless the crabs are large, discard all but the first largest joint. Crack the Shells with the back of a knife blade or a hammer, then use a crab pick to remove the meat.
3. Break the claw arms apart at the joints and then crack the shells as before, trying not to shatter them completely. Remove the meat from each section in as large pieces as possible.
4. Remove the meat from the Claws, discarding the very thin, flat bone from the centre of the meat.
5. Detach the body of the crab From the back shell by inserting a Sturdy knife between them and Giving it a firm twist, then lifting out the body.
6. To remove the meat from the Body, first pull off and dicard the Inedible.
